LEGIONS OF WAR "In the snipers eye" Demo CD (2007):

I'm finally back with a new review, it has been a long time... Anyway, I'm back with a great demo and that's the most important thing! Legions of war comes from Sweden and was formed in the end of 2002 by Zyklon (guitar and vocals) and Count Stalinorgel (drums), then a new member Widowreaper join the force in 2005. I got their first demo "Proclamation of war" (2005)  and I already found  a good potential to this band but unfortunately this release contained only 2 songs. I wanted to make a review for it but I found nothing on this mysterious band and thought that it was already dead and buried. One month ago, I got an e-mail from the band asking me if I wanted to receive their new attack, of course I agreed and the week after I was listening to the best demo of this first part of 2007! "In the snipers eye" is a pure product of Black/Thrash Metal, not the same that the Finns (Urn, Flame...) use to play but more along the same lines as Destroyer 666, that is to say with a big touch of Death Metal. "Victims of the honour" open the ball, followed by the great and best title of this demo "The sniper". The riffs are very catchy as well as the chorus, the lead guitar parts are melodic and really judicious. The drummer is excellent and his playing catchy as all get-out! "Reapers in command" walk the same path while "Totenkopf" is a mid-tempo song more Thrash Metal.
